Blisworth Tapestry Project

Bringing History to Life

Blisworth Tapestry Project began with a group of

like minded residents passionate about their local history and a desire to provide a lasting memento of village life past and present. The result is a collection of delightful tapestries created by a community needlework group made up of Blisworth villagers from all walks of life.

The centrepiece, based on artwork by a local artist (see above) showing modern day life in Blisworth village, is now complete and hangs alongside six further works of art (also by local artists). These depict scenes from the village archives in a timeline from Roman times to present day. They can all be viewed at

Blisworth Baptist Chapel, Chapel Lane, Blisworth

Every Tuesday between 9.30 am and 12 pm

(During Coffee House Hours)

Other times can be arranged for viewing contact:-
